The No Child Left Behind Act

The implementation of the recent reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, called the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), and its impending reauthorization will be the focus on federal education policy for the next several years.

Washington Partners, LLC worked closely with Congress and the Administration on behalf of a diverse array of clients during the recent reauthorization of the NCLB, and continues to do so throughout implementation of the law. Principals of WPLLC participated in the mandatory negotiated rulemaking and the promulgation of regulatory and non-regulatory guidance to implement this new sweeping legislation. WPLLC provides informative sessions on NCLB tailored to the specific needs of organizations and boards. In addition to holding a special conference on the adequate yearly progress (AYP) requirement of NCLB, WPLLC members are frequently invited to speak at national conferences about the provisions in the law.
