Krista Heckler joined Washington Partners, LLC as a Legislative Associate to work on federal education related policy and she is also responsible for writing and editing a number of publications for the organization.

Prior to joining WPLLC, Heckler worked on Capitol Hill as a legislative assistant for Representatives Amo Houghton (R-NY) and Randy Kuhl (R-NY). In these positions, she gained insider knowledge of the workings of Congress.

While working for Congressman Kuhl, who sits on the House Education and Workforce Committee, Heckler prepared the Congressman for all Education and Labor Committee meetings, briefings, hearings and legislative markups. She also responded to constituent inquiries.

Krista Heckler earned her Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Criminal Justice from Elmira College, NY.
